After two months in Toronto, I met Jim and Danial who were exited to get me onboard. I started for Mitrex as a Presenter Business Development pitching to and managing a variety of c-level executive. Soon after, Danial noticed my affinity and knack in Marketing. He promoted me to Marketing Specialist and gave me full responsibility for the Mitrex brand as well as big parts of the mother company Cladify. Cladify is a light-weight, super strong cladding system that allows architects and developers to mix and match facing materials without changing the method or ease of installation. Mitrex takes innovation a step further by integrating solar technology into the same cladding seamlessly. I worked on a combination of offline and online marketing materials and tactics.

With the Mitrex marketing, I wanted all materials to create an experience or a mind fuck. Take a look at the unique brochure on the right. Rather than designing a regular brochure, I created an interactive invitation that sparks the imagination of the bat. The presentation deks I designed may look normal but are story-based, I initiated the start of social media for Cladify, wrote a lot of copy, and more. We worked together incredibly well, yet COVID-19 changed our plans and I decided to move back to the Netherlands two months prior to my visa’s expiration date.
