Additional Skills

Besides working on Marketing and Design in my professional life, I enjoy working on more projects in my personal life for myself and for the people around me. This allows me to continuously expand my skillset, including type design, illustrations, writing, and more. I experiment with new techniques, and I guess I just enjoy the process of creating something kick ass.

Typography

Typography, to me, is about experimenting and simply having fun. Go nuts on colours, try different techniques and layers or let the words speak for themselves.

Illustrations

Before starting as a graphic designer, I worked on many illustrations and paintings. After discovering the world of digital art, I started illustrating using a Wacom drawing pad. My illustration style varies from black work to colourful. I illustrated the cover art for Brendan Luck’s first album: Sunny D Skies.

Album art

Feast your eyes on the summer vibes below. A young Canadian Artist trusted me to design the cover art for his Sunny D Skies Album. An assignment I couldn’t refuse.

Photography

I have experience in lifestyle product photography and I love to take photos in my free time.

The art of stories

Besides being able to draw well, it is essential to understand writing and the audience you are writing and designing for. As a challenge during my media specialisation, I worked on the graphic novel below. The story was meant to explain complex information (how a plane works) to a young audience of boys aged 8-13. The second document contains the short story I wrote while studying science fiction in Ottawa. The third document is the branded script I wrote for Nike as part of the digital storytelling course I took in Ottawa at Carleton University.
